The problem
Artificial grass doesn’t grow. Everything landing on it still rots.
Leaves, pollen, grit, pet mess and airborne dirt work their way down into the pile and break down in the infill. That layer is what dulls the colour, holds the smell and feeds the moss and algae that turn a lawn dark and slippery.
The pile flattens
Foot traffic and weather crush the fibres. Once they lie flat the lawn looks tired and worn even where the material is perfectly sound.
The infill compacts
Sand migrates and settles. Without it supporting the fibres, the pile can't stand up and the grass wears far faster than it should.
The surface turns
Organic build-up plus shade equals moss and algae — a maintenance problem while it's green, and a safety one once it's slippery.

The alternative
Cleaned, treated and re-filled — not replaced
Most lawns we visit are not at the end of their life. They are compacted, dull and full of years of organic debris, and that is a job with a fixed price rather than a quote for a new installation.
What we do
Six things, on one visit
Most lawns need the first two. The rest depend on shade, dogs and how long it has been since anyone touched it.

Deep clean & pile restoration
The core service. Clear what has worked down into the pile, then power brush the whole lawn to lift fibres crushed flat by weather and foot traffic.
What this covers
Sanitising treatment
An antibacterial treatment across the full surface. The grass does not rot, but everything that lands on it does.
What this covers
Pet odour treatment
An enzyme treatment that breaks down the residue causing the smell rather than perfuming over it.
What this covers
Moss, algae & weed control
Treating growth on the surface and along the perimeter joints, where weeds root and gradually lift the edges.
What this covers
Sand infill top-up
Kiln-dried silica sand brushed back into the pile, so the fibres are supported and stand up properly.
What this covers
Seam & edge repairs
Re-fixing lifted seams, loose edges and small damaged sections before they become a reason to replace the whole lawn.
What this coversEnd-of-summer offer
Get the summer out of your artificial lawn
A summer in the pile is pollen, seed, dust, barbecue mess and whatever the dog left. Then autumn drops a few hundred leaves on top of it and the whole lot breaks down together over winter. Clear it now and the leaves land on a clean lawn instead.
Free moss, algae & weed treatment with any clean

Why us
What you get
Fixed prices, quoted first
A fixed price before we start, worked out from photographs and measurements wherever possible, so you are not committing to a site visit just to find out what it costs.
An honest condition assessment
If a lawn is genuinely at the end of its life we will say so rather than take payment for a clean that won't change anything. If it needs a repair rather than a clean, we quote for the repair.
Specialists, not general gardeners
Artificial grass is a manufactured surface with its own failure modes. It needs treating like flooring, not like a lawn.
Insured, and clear about the products
Public liability insurance held, and we tell you on the day how long to keep pets and children off any treated area. Usually a couple of hours.
How a visit works
Five stages, in this order
The order is the job. Brushing a lawn before the debris comes out just drives it further into the infill.
Survey and fixed quote
Send photos and rough dimensions, or we'll call in. Either way you get a fixed price before we start — no day rates and no surprises once the van's on the drive.
Debris extraction
Leaves, moss, grit, pet hair and everything else that has worked down into the pile comes out first. Skipping this step just pushes the dirt further in.
Power brushing
A counter-rotating power brush lifts the pile back upright across the whole lawn. This is the stage that visibly changes how the grass looks.
Treat and sanitise
Antibacterial treatment across the surface, plus enzyme odour treatment and weed or algae control where the lawn needs them.
Infill and finish
Kiln-dried silica sand brushed back in where the level has dropped, then a final groom so the pile sits evenly.

Questions
Questions we get asked
The rest are on the contact page.
How often should artificial grass be cleaned?
For most gardens, a professional deep clean every 12 to 18 months keeps the lawn looking and performing as it should. If you have dogs, or the lawn is shaded and under trees, every 6 to 12 months is more realistic. Light brushing between visits helps, but it won't lift compacted pile or shift algae.
Will a jet wash do the same job?
No — and used at the wrong pressure it can do real damage. Jet washing displaces the sand infill that supports the fibres and can separate the backing at the seams. It cleans the surface while leaving the debris that matters sitting deeper in the pile.
Does cleaning actually make a difference to how long the lawn lasts?
Yes. Most artificial lawns fail because compacted infill and trapped debris cause the fibres to wear and split, not because the material simply expires. Keeping the pile lifted and the infill topped up is the single biggest factor in getting a full lifespan out of an installation.
Is the treatment safe for pets and children?
The treatments we use are chosen to be safe once dry, and we'll tell you how long to keep the lawn clear on the day — usually a couple of hours. If you'd prefer us to avoid a particular product, say so when you book.
Want to know what your lawn needs?
Send a couple of photos and the rough dimensions and you will have a fixed price back the same day. No site visit needed, no obligation.
